Portfolio Details

As a shopping center and mixed use housing project, Torium is located in Istanbul's most densely-populated residential area, located within ten minutes' drive of nearly three and a half million people living in the Beylikdüzü, Esenyurt, Gürpınar, Bahçeşehir, Küçükçekmece, Florya, and Büyükçekmece regions. Opened in October 2010 on the D100 (E5) Highway at the Haramidere Junction, it enjoys easy accessibility with the connecting roads around it and comprehensive public transport links. With a car parking capacity of 3,000 vehicles, the Torium Shopping Mall benefits from having the most comfortable shopping and parking facility. The number of visitors to Torium is set to increase with the opening of the metro-bus link to Avcılar-TÜYAP, construction of which was completed in July 2012. This allows consumers from Istanbul's Anatolian side to visit the mall easily through public transportation.

Attracting attention as Torunlar REIC's first shopping center investment in Istanbul, Torium is the fourth largest shopping center in Istanbul and the fifth largest in Turkey. With a total construction area of 256,000 m² , Torium is pioneering a new concept in the retailing and shopping center sector, where one quarter of the leasable area is allocated to entertainment area and the food court. Snowpark, Turkey's first and only indoor skiing facility, is already well renowned throughout Turkey as a fun-packed sports complex covering a 4,500 m² area. Torium is well on its way to becoming one of Istanbul's most popular centers with its indoor 3,500 m² 'Starpark' amusement center designed to appeal to all ages, the Cinetech Cinemas with a 9 screen multiplex cinema with a total of 1,766 seats (to expand to 11 screens and 3,003 seats following the growth project) and an 8-lane bowling alley.

BAiming to appeal to the young and working population in its region, Torium boasts a comprehensive mix of shops. Wide façades have been provided to shops in the shopping centers for the first time with axis intervals of 11 meters, while brands are represented in large spaces.

Another significant feature of the shopping center is the open-air bazaar area. This provides visitors with a comfortable environment with a café, a bowling alley and outdoor seating areas, which host concerts and events during the spring and summer months on its current stage. As a refreshing shopping center, it offers an invigorating space with a wide atrium and galleries, a well-illuminated façade that takes maximum advantage of daylight, scenic ponds and rich landscaping. Moreover, Torium became the first shopping center in Turkey to gain the "LEED" (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. Torium's environmental awareness started during the construction stage; it fulfills the social responsibility projects and accordingly sets an example in the shopping center industry.
